![]() ![]() We’re mostly working on the systems side to make things feel different.” We’re at sort of early stages of the second part, where you play Elizabeth, but I’ve played a prototype of what it’s like to play her. We’re almost in beta on part one of the Rapture one. ![]() I just played the first prototype of her the other day. He also explained what playing as Elizabeth entails, saying, "When you play Elizabeth, it’s even more towards a survival horror game. And a new Plasmid – they’re called Plasmids in this.” We did some tweaks to the various Vigors. Therefore the traps get much more meaningful, I think. That sort of slipped away from us a little bit in Infinite. You know how BioShock game systems are about hearing the enemies at a distance and being able to plan your attack? We wanted more of that. ![]() We wanted the combat, because of the nature of Rapture, to be more player-initiated than it was in Infinite. The system guys have been very hard at work. “We did, however, re-tune the feel of the experience. There’s a reason they’re drinkable in this world. “Game systems are essentially Infinite game systems. Levine added that Vigors will return as drinkable super powers, but will be called Plasmids like in the original BioShock. You get this mix of pristine Rapture and a very traditional Rapture experience, in a pretty organic story." All of Fontaine’s cronies are put into that department store, so that place has gone to hell. And in the second half, it takes place in a department store, a Fontaine department store that’s been shuttered and sunk to the bottom of the ocean by Ryan after he takes over. My favorite BioShock quest is actually in that part, with no combat. Which nobody has ever been able to do before, with those systems and that technology. Get OMW then SJ the elevator, get the rewards below the crashed elevator, freeze the water into a bridge and get out.According to creative director Ken Levine, "It’s really a story of Booker and Elizabeth again, but set against the backdrop of pre-fall Rapture, and to have an extended period in pre-fall Rapture without combat, where you’re just living in the space, like you got to sort of live in Columbia at the beginning of the game. You will need to finish your business because you can't go back up. When you get to the top floor, do whatever you need to (get Old Man Winter, visit other stores if you want to), but don't use the shock jockey on the elevator or somehow go downstairs without finishing your business upstairs. There's no fix, there's only avoiding this. Tl dr, This happened to me both on xbox and steam versions. This has been a bug since the game was released (I've tried this on xbox360 release day and steam in the last two weeks) and I don't think Irrational knows or can fix it. Once you go downstairs (either by the SJ elevator or by going the way you came), do not expect to go back upstairs because when you go to the airlock, you will never be able to open it and you will be stuck in a loop. Do that stuff first, then use the shock jockey on the elevator and go downstairs. I'm guessing you're trying to use the Shock Jockey on the elevator before getting Old Man Winter or whatever else is up on the top floor. I discovered that if you're doing something with the elevator that you shock jockey, you may or may not cause yourself to be stuck in the loop. Now I've moved on and had to leave the gear behind. It didn't look possible to get back in teh elevator so I didn't try. Where does one go on the Irrational site to notify them direct for "features" like this ? Reload one checkpoint prior to the problematic one I guess !! Not too sure why there have to be airlocks ( some kind of asset loading in the backgroud perhaps? ) but exiting the game and reloading from the last checkpoint didn't help. Left for _5 mins_ in it's rotating state, and it was still going. Pushed button to cycle second door, she still was not there, and the inner circle of the second door kept rotating. I entered the first airlock, and noticed that Elizabeth wasn't with me. I collected everything underneath, and made my way back upstairs. Got the shock jockey, went back down to the elevator control that needs a shock for the door to open, entered the elevator, and went down 1 floor.
